Child Safety Standards
All adults have a responsibility to create a safe environment for younger members. Predators may use online platforms to find victims, so vigilance is essential.

Age-Appropriate Interactions
Appropriate Boundaries
Clear boundaries protect everyone. Friendships must reflect maturity gaps and avoid private spaces online or offline.
Personal Information Protection
Never ask for personal information (address, phone, school, full name). Report anyone who does.
Mentoring Relationships
Mentors must be transparent with parents. Regular check-ins and open communication are non-negotiable.
Age Restricted Activity
Only users 18 and older can go live. Users under 18 can watch live streams only from accounts their parent has approved.
Enhanced Parental Consent
Where required by law, parents or guardians of minors must approve participation. A parent or guardian must approve a minor's account by email before it can be used. Parents can review their child's account activity through the parental controls described in our Privacy Policy.
Message Protection for Minors (Under 18)
Parent PIN Protection
Messages sent to or involving users under 18 are kept on our servers until they are deleted. Parents can review them through the Parent Message Monitor. Messages deleted in monitored conversations are kept in an archive with no set time limit, so parents can still review them.
Child Safety in Advertising
A 4-digit parent PIN locks all parental control settings on the child's device. The PIN is stored on our servers as a salted hash. After 5 wrong attempts, PIN entry is locked for 15 minutes.
Children's Data
All ads must be safe and appropriate for younger viewers. Ads cannot use psychological manipulation or fear tactics to exploit children. Ads in GodScroll are shown to adults (18+) only, and we do not use children's personal information to choose ads.
We aim to collect only the information needed to provide our services to minors. We do not sell children's personal information. Parents can ask us to review, correct, or delete their child's information.
Reporting Suspected Abuse: Report suspected abuse immediately to Pastoral Care (help@godscroll.org) and to the appropriate authorities. Reports are reviewed by our team, and we may remove content or suspend or close accounts depending on severity.
Shared Responsibility: Child safety isn't only parents' responsibility. Each believer must be vigilant and protective.
